NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that in accordance with Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, that the Planning Commission of Essex County, VA will meet on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 7:00 PM to conduct public hearing on the following application:


Application for Rezoning #R-19-02 submitted by PAR5 Development LLC. The applicant wishes to rezone Tax Map Parcel #53-120 from A-2 Agricultural to B-1, Limited Business District. The applicant plans to subdivide the existing tax parcel to create a buildable area for the construction of a new retail store. Pursuant to Section 7.3 of the Zoning Ordinance, A-2 zoning effectively restricts the applicant from conducting retail operations on the foresaid parcel. Any approved development of the subject parcel shall comply with applicable requirements of the Essex County Subdivision and Zoning Ordinances as well as any necessary conditions


The Planning Commission public hearing will be held at the Essex County School Board Office Meeting Room located at 109 Cross Street, Tappahannock, VA, 22560. A copy of the application is available for public examination in the Office of Building and Zoning, Essex County Administration Building, 202 South Church Lane, Tappahannock, VA 22560 during normal office hours. Interested persons may appear at the above noted public hearing to express their opinions regarding the application.
