Advanced Life Support EMT/Firefighter

Status:  Full time with benefits, Salary – ALS Intermediate $41,184 – ALS Paramedic $44,179

Essex County EMS is seeking a highly motivated professional individual to fill a full time Advanced Life Support (ALS) EMT/Firefighter position. Candidates will perform emergency medical advanced life support services and firefighter duties as required. Applicants must possess a valid Virginia Driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent, a good driving record, and must be computer literate and have the ability to maintain effective working relationships with associates and the public. Minimum Qualifications: EMT-I, or EMT-P, Firefighter I, Hazardous Materials Awareness Certification, ACLS, PALS, EVOC, PHTLS, CPR and within one year obtain Firefighter II and Hazardous Materials Operations certifications.  This position is subject to a criminal background investigation, drug test and health exam.
