Communication from Essex County Emergency Management 02/20/2024

Dear Community Members,

Tappahannock-Essex Fire and Emergency Services Units responded to a fire incident located behind 531 Lagrange Industrial Drive, Tappahannock, VA 22560, in a clearing at the end of Mt Clements Road. The call, dispatched at 1602 hours on Sunday, was for an Astro Turf Fire, with rolls of material ablaze, measuring approximately 20 feet in width and 300 feet in length.
